Retro-Fit Studio is a boutique personal training, nutrition and brain health studio where my dedication to wellness transforms lives every day. I’m a master-level certified fitness, health, nutrition, and brain health coach with over 20 years of experience. I empower individuals of all ages with unique histories, needs, and aspirations including; metabolic syndrome, neurological disorders, pre and post-rehab, body recomposition and sports performance.

My mission is to guide you toward a healthier, stronger, and more vibrant life—because it’s never too late (or early) to give your body and brain the care they deserve. My values are rooted in measurable results, fun, and a deep respect for individuality. Every workout, nutrition plan, and lifestyle strategy is crafted just for you.

WE START WITH MUSCLE GROWTH

Whatever your goal, you need to build and maintain muscle throughout your life for optimal health and fitness. Muscle is an essential part of metabolism, immunity, bone health, brain health and movement. Being active does not necessarily mean you are building muscle. I use science-based training methods customized to your goals. I meet you where you are at and we plan your journey together.

Supporting Muscle Growth

Each session begins with mobility and flexibility for connective tissue adaptation and growth. The session ends with stretching and you may have some homework as well!

My Fitness Journey

My love of strength training began in college in the 80s. Hence, my retro-themed studio. 😃 Through the decades, I have enjoyed running, tennis, ice hockey and road cycling. I found lifting to be a “must” for sports performance, mobility and recovery. My fitness saved my life and led to faster recovery after a significant accident. Today, strength training is critical for how I age with vitality and better brain/body fitness and health.

Overcoming Challenges

A serious cycling accident left me with broken bones and a traumatic brain injury, shaping my approach to fitness and recovery. This experience led me to an holistic approach to fitness and wellness -which includes exercise/movement, targeted nutrition and gut health, brain health and lifestyle habits such as sleep hygiene.

My journey and approach have attracted many diverse clients, including those with visible and invisible disabilities, complex health challenges such as cancer survivorship, Parkinson’s, Diabetes, and post-injury and recovery.
